The booty was previously confiscated by the Gestapo. The British authorities removed the hoxes in which it was' discovered, to a bank where they found the contents "almost priceless. 5 ' The clue to. the boxes' contents was a mystsrious hlackhound hook signed hy four rnembers of the S.S., which was sent to the military governor by an unknown informant. Some lawful owners had already been traeed.
