REGRET FOR TRIESTE RIOTS

COMMITTEE OF LIBERATION APOLOGISES Received Tuesday, 11.20 a.m. TRIESTE, July 8. The Committee of National Liberation has made a public expression of regret for the incidents last Saturday, when Itaiian I eiements demonstrated against the Allies. The committee also apologised for the behaviour of the rowdy eiements towards members of the Allied forces, who were "fulfiliing their duty, and who have always shown understanding and behaved correctly towards the population."
