OTAKI JUNIORS BEATEN Waimeha juniors had the better of the play from start to finish in their match with Otaki, and it was only occasionally 'that Otaki proved dangerous. Otaki kicked off with the sun at their backs, but Waimeha went to attack almost immediately with a series of ioose rushes. and setting their backs in action While the vanguard played splendidly the back division made no mistakes, their passing being accurat and clean. While on attack the visitor were awarded a free kick, whicl was entrusted to Thomas, whc instead of kicking for goal, sent th' ball to his forwards, and soon afte P. Fairley went over for a try Thomas' kick at goal just failed Waimeha 14, Otaki nil. Waimehwere having all the better of th game, and for a breach by Otak Thomas kicked another penalk goal, making the score 17 — 0 ii Waimeha's favour. Otaki reversec play and went on a.ttack, showiiv some dashing play, and while in th visitors' territory, Taratoa had r place at goal, but the ball dropper short. To the end of the game play was chiefly in Waimeha's favour Mr. Les. Smith was referee.
