EDUCATION BOARD

MR. D. K. GTJY OFFERS HIS SERVICES Mr. D. K. Guy, of Koputaroa, who is well known throughout the Horowhenua district for the interest he has taken in public and educational matters, has offered his services as a candidate for the Hutt-Horowhenua area of the Wellington Education Board to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Colonel McDonrald. The opinion is widely held that the time has come for the Horowhenua area, which has a% large number of sehools over its length and breadth, to have direct representation on the board, in place of one resident near Wellington. The outstanding advantage of this is the great knowledge of local conditions which such a member would have. Mr. Guy should, therefore, be well supported. Mr. Guy has played a prominent part in the affairs of the Kopuataroa School, and is at, present chairman of the school committee there. He is also a member of the Horowhenua County Council and a director of the Levin Dairy Company.
