EARLY MORNING COLLISION

^ THREE YEHICLES INVOLVED Three vehicles, two of which were stationary, were • involved in a coliision 'about 8 a.m. this morning in Oxford Street, at the eorner opposite Stuckey- Street. A light van, owned by Mr. A. H. Croad', of Levin, was parked facing southwards outside the shops at the corner, and further south and also sta.tionary was a heavy van, owned by the Arcadia Bakery, of Levin. Mr. G. Easterbrook, of Christchurch, who was proceeding to Wellington in a light car, came into collision with 1 the rear of Mr. Croad's van. The impact pushed this, van forward, sandwiching ' it between the Arcadia Bakery's heavy .van and a telephone po&t.: Mr. Easterbrook s,uf£e.red some cuts and his car was slightly damaged. The other vehicles were unoccupied at th'e time. Mr. Croad's van was extensively damaged,, but the heavier vehicle was more foi> tunate.
