NELSON, June 24. Four days of investigation into the suspected murder of the young Maori woman, Miss Rangi Tai Otimi, at C^ueen's Gardens late last Thursday liight or early Eriday morning, havo not yet yiehicd anv positive results to the police. Tonight 's report was that there had been no furtlier developments but ihe scope of the .i'nquiry- had been wlden'ed to i'nclnde- more: distant country areas. Many people have- been interrogated but the pile of statements already obtained apparqntly leaves only : i'bose et!.d*s. i|'-« .y 'A -K ; - From fiirther PreSs inquiries nb clue can be advanced as to who called out: "What's going on there?" The body of the victim has been released for burial, which will talce place at Waihi Pa, Tokaanu, probably on Wednesday. Detective-Sergeant McPhee and Det.ective Hedley, of Wellington, are remaining in Nelson to cooperate with Detective-Sergeant J. J. Murray and ■ the local force for further investigations. The fact that the police have issued an appeal locally for information from any member of the public who might have secn Miss Otimi at or after 11.30 o'clock on Thursday niglit appears to indicate that there is -not yet any defmite line on which the investigations are being epntinued.
