Received Snndav, 7 p.m. LOXDOX, June 15. Despite the shadow of the gallows I hanging over twenty top ranking Nazis ! they are thriving on prison life, says tlie Assoeiated Press eorrespondent at ■Nuremberg. Their equaiiimitv after the seven months' trial has surprised the gaolers. They eat like growing bovs, sleep soundly and have even broken off the habit of taking sleeping pills which was a popular German praeiiee. Oolonel Andrus, eommandant of the gaol, deseribes the discipline of the prisoners as exemplary. They are exactly eorreet in the exehange of courtesies and do not appear sullen but rather pride themselves on properly doing wliat is. required. Fraternisation lietween the prisoners is still strietly forbidden which, says the eorrespondent, is probablv' just as well. At least ' lialf a dozen frrst class grudges have been built up among them by the evidence given during the trial. The enniities are kept rather well hidden in the courtroom. Alost of the prisoners have turne/l avidlv to religion and repudidVed*tIi& fornifii' aht'i-religrous atfi- ' tude. They frequentlv askcd chaplains for spiritual aid and some have made secret confessions.
