V Personal Messrs. R. Hook and R. Quinlan have returned from the R.S.A. conference. Mr. and Mrs. Colin Edwards have left to take over their farm at Featherston. Shannon visitors to the 22nd Battalion reunion at Palmerston North on' Friday evening were Messrs. J.'Campbell, A. and J. Bell, R. S. and T. S. Downes. Mr. and Mrs. S. Martin, of Wellington, were the guests of Mrs. Martin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roach, over the week-end. Miss Betty Roach and Mr. Pat Roach also spent the week-end at home. Basketball Results The following are the results of fche basketball matches played at Shannon on Saturday afternoon: — Kuku A 23, Shannon A 19; Tuis B 7, Shannon B 7; Shannon C 21, Coliege Junior B 1. Golf Competitions Competitions at the Buckley golf links on Saturday took the form of a stableford. The following are the results: — H. Pope 31, R. Harding 30, F. Picard 30, W. Stern 29, R. Jownes 28, C. Stern 28, H. Kerina n, B. Harris 18, A. Bell 13, C. Booker 13 and Turner 12.
