DISPOSAL A MATTER FOR SEfcVICEMEN

WELLINGTON, May 29. The view that the proposal to ainalgamato the National Patriotic Fund Board and Canteen Board Funds, was a matter that the ex-servicemen themselves should decide, was expressed in a resolution passed by a meeting today of the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council. The Council decided to abide by any decision. of the R.S.A. and Homeservicemen 's Association. A second resolution was passed asking the Government to give all interested parties the opportunity of expressing their views 011 any regulations it might bring down 011 the subject before a Parliamentary committee. Another resolution passed stated that the board to control the National Welfare Funds should consist of a maximum of 14 members .'including the four Metropolitan Mayors, four representatives of the E.S.A., and one from the Homeservicejmou's Association. .A final resolution was passed urging that in view of , amalgamation not being effected, the purpose of'the welfare fund be rec-on-sidered.
