Received Saturday, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, May 10, The Military Twbuna! at Lun«berg has senteneed Gol-onel-General- Kurt Student, former Commander on Crete, tofive years' imprisonment. Counsel- for Student had asked the Court for a> eomplete acquittal of his client. He dreiv attention* to the statement of Brigadier Inglis, that the hospital- was no longer-used as such by the morning of May 20, 1941, when it became a battle field. He elaimed- that there was no substantiation of the charge that the hospital was bombed. Counsel also drew attention to the statement of Brigadier Inglis that the. Germans had. not mounted an attack behind a screen of prisoners.
