WELLINGTON, May 9. The wartime- authority for doublebanli hirers in taxis will eease as from Alav 17. WTien making this- announcement today, the Minister of Transport, Hon. J.. O 'B-rien, said after Alay 17 it would be illegal for taxi drivers to carrv passengers at separate fares as i thev had been perinitted to do under j the emergency regulatlons during tlie ; past four years.
