B.M.A.'S DISCUSSION WITH GOVERNMENT

—Press Association

By Telegraph-

WELLINGTON, April 29. A statement was made to-day by Dr. E. H. M. Luke, chairman of the council of the B.M.A., in order to correct any misapprehension which might arise from a statement published in the press concerning the recent conversations with the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) and Minister of Health (Mr. Nordmeyer). " The statement is as follows: "rt should be clearly understood that the subject of this discussion was not merely the direct- claim of service, but the maintenance of the present systems of practice. The discussions are still in progress, and any comment at this stage is premature."
