PARAPARAUMU NOTES

♦ (From "Chronicle" Correspondent) The Paraparaumu Women's Institute held its April meeting in the Anglican Hall, presided over by Mrs. Hornsby. There was a fair attendance and the meeting opened with the singing of the institute song and the aspirations. Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Smith were appointed delegates for the conference to be held in Paraparaumu on April 30. Business "concluded, there was an exhibition of articles old and ncw of general interest. Each membcr brought something and gave a brief talk about it. Thc meeting concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. Thc weather was ideal for the many holiday makers who came to the beaches for the Easter holidays. The Anglican Church services were well attended. St. Paul's Church was beautifully decorated and gave great credit to those responsible for its decorations. Tho bowling greens were well patronised over Easter, the greens bcing in perfect cpndition.
