WOMEN'S DIVISION
ANNUAL MEETING The Shannon branch. of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union held its annuai meeting in Laurvig's Hall on Monday afternoon when a large gathering of members was present. The election of officers for the coming year was as follows: — President: Mrs. C. Guerin; vicepresidents : Mesdames A., R. Mills, L, H. Best and Roberts i (Buckley) ; secretary-treasurer : Mrs., K. 'Thomson; housekeeping secretary: Mrs. C. Guerin; advisory committee: Mesdames Guerin and Best. The following committee was elected to draw up the programme for the coming year: Mesdames Guerin, Thomson, Roberts, Mills, ' Stevens, Ward, Mullins and Misses J. Roberts and D. Ward. Several housekeeping arrangements were attended to during the year. The division also has a guest in th'e W.D.F.U. Rest Home. It was agreed that the division's birthday party shpuld be held on May 6, and that ' invitations should be extended to the Shannon branches of' the Women's Institute and women's section of the Returhed Services Association .and the Moutoa branch of the W.D.F.U. ,
