LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
"LISTENER IN."
RACING SUPPORTERS Sir, — In his addyess at Otaki, Mr. R. M. Algie, when referring to profit punters, said that 80 per cent. df the . people to be found at a race meeting were Government supporters. If we look at the list of names of office bearers of the N.Z. • J.ockey -Ciubs, and the number oi cars from the' country that are parked 'at a race meeting near a cityi it would appear that quite a large number of Government supporters are to be found in the capitalist and farming circles, if Mr. Algie's estimate be correct. Yours etc..
Otaki, April 16.
