Personal L/Cpl. Andrew J. Thomas, son of Vlr. P. J. Thomas, of Paekakariki, vho was previously reported missng, is now presumed killed in iction. Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell, Karori, mnounce the engagement of their :hird daughter, Noellie Clare, to Dssian William, elder son of Mr. ind Mrs. O. J. D'Ath, Otaki. Squadron-Leader William Alfred Hardham, of Paraparaumu, has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for service in the South Pacific. Squadron-Leader Hardham enlisted in the R.N.Z.A.F. in 194u. After a period as a flying instructor, he was posted to the Pacific, where he completed five tours of operations on fighters and fighter bombers. His next-of-kin is his father, Mr. A. Hardham, Paraparaumu.
