ENGAGED TO DUKE
DUCHESS OF GLOUCESTER ' S NIECE LONDON, March 14. The engagement is announced of the Duchess of Gloucester's niece, Ladv Elizabeth Moutagu-Douglas-Bcott, elder daughter of- the eighth Duke of Buccleuch,. to the Duke of Northumbor land. During the war Lady Elizabeth served in the W.R.N.R. and for a time was on the traiisatlantic. service from Britain to New Yorlc. Later slie volun teered for service in Australia, and flnw there from San Francisco. Recently she returned from Australia. The engagement is also announced of the Duke of Rutland to Miss Anne Cumming Bell, aged 21, daughter of a Leeds stockbroker, Major W. Cumming Bell. She , served in the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry during the war.
