AUSTRALIA'S CHANCES

V- : — DAVIS CUP MATCIIES WASHINGTON, March 13. D. Budge, the American professional tennis player and former Davis Gup representative, predicted: "VTe will win the Davis Cup quite easily. We will heat Australia in the chalienge round 4 — 1 or 5 — 0. The only one match we mig'ht — and I say might — lose is the doubles. "We will have Parker and Kramer in the singles, and either Parker and Kramer or Kramer and Scroeder in tho doubles. Kramer is greatly im oroved." Discussing the Australians, Budge commented: "With the exception of Pails I have played all their present cup players — Bromwich, Quist and Crawford — and they are not up to our top men. The war has retarded tennis so that -it will be two or three years before future American stars begin to stand out ahove the crowd, but we have enough to win with, anyway."
