SERVICING OF TRANSPORT PLANES

The R.N.Z.A.F. transport service lTas Tieen siibstant ially reduced in recent weeks and an oppor(unity has been given to those who wish to leave the Service to do so, but the dissatisfaction at Rongotai continued, culniuiatiug in a decision of the inen concerned not to service 'Air Force planes for the transport of civiiiaus. Sjrvicing is now being carried out by the ie Havillund Aircraft Company. •In a statement to-day the Air Depart ment said that, with the steady recluc tion of transport commitments, it was now considured more economical to pass tb§ liniited amount of servicing neces sary at Rongotai to de Havilland's and thus release more men for discharge oi other duties. 1 • .1
