CONTRIBUTION FROM U.S. NEW YORK, March 3. American militarv officials have decided tentatively that . the United Btates' eontribution to the United Nation poliee force slvall be prodominantly air and sea power, with -a retativelv small ground force, says the Washington correspondent of the New York Times. The joint chiefs of staft' are at present considering the exact size of the forees and are expected to reach a decision before,. the Aecurity Council Militarv Btaft4 Committee meeting at New York on MArch 21. The American conrribution to. tlie peaee force is subject to ratification by a majority of the Flouse of 'Representatives and the vSenat« after the entire United NaHons' programme i.s drawn up.
