Received Tuesday, 11.50 a.m. CAIRO, March 4. Two British soldiers are feported ( to be among fourteen people killed in clashes in Alexandria to-day in i the first disorders in the Egyption jstrike. Three British soldiers were : graveiy wounded and a total of 300 are reported to have been wounded. I A crowd tried to break into the ( Atlantic Hotel, used as a Royal Navy hostel, but police fire dispers- ; ed tne demonstrators. | Egyptian troops and the police ! opened fire against crowds stoning ! a British military post in Alexandria. The crowd several times ; surged forward, trying to break into the barracks. The crowd also ! attacked other military outposts. , Firing was still heard from time to time this afternoon. ! Sympathy strikes are reported from Damascus and Beirut.
