Power plant centennial project
PA Dunedin A construction team will be flown into the Bullendale area near Queenstown on Thursday to work on century-old hydro-elec-tric generating equipment. The eight-member team will prepare for the centennial celebrations of the first hydro-electric power generation for industrial purposes in New Zealand. The team will go in by helicopter - Bullendale is 40km from Queenstown - with lifting equipment and seven tonnes of timber to set up equipment in the area.
