Promising cricketers
Twenty-eight players regarded as the most promising young cricketers in Canterbury, have been selected for specialist coaching clinics to be held over the next few weeks.
The players for the Trusteebank coaching clinics were selected by the coaching committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association. The players are.— Group A (every Wednesday evening from February 12 to March 12 at Hagley Oval): Andrew Sherwood, Lee Ger-
mon, Mark Hastings, Darin Murray, Darin Cusack, Jon Preston, Chris Cairns, Roger Ford, Andrew Hintz, David Bond, Paul Rutledge, David Mills, Andrew Cavill, Stu Roberts, Chris Flanagan.
Group B for players aged under 16 (every Monday for five nights from February 17): Jeremy Young, Richard Graham, Nathan Astle, Llorne Howell, Glen Davis, Charles Fairbum, John Quinn, Kieran Hartley, Geoff Downie, Nicholas Greenwood, Andrew Stubblngs, Jeremy Millichip, Andrew Haglund.
