Big Maui appraisal
PA Wellington The partners in the Maui natural gas field (Offshore Mining, Shell, BP and Todd) have agreed to proceed with a S6OM programme of appraisal drilling in the field this year. The drilling would probably start around mid-year, the chairman of Maui Development, Ltd, Mr Paul Skinner, said. “The programme will involve the drilling of three appraisal wells at a cost of close to S6OM and tenders will soon be invited from suitable rig operators,” he said.
