Boost for Otago
PA Dunedin The inclusion of Stephen Boock will help Otago’s chances of beating Canterbury in the Shell Trophy cricket match which starts at Carisbrook today. Otago is 14 points clear of Auckland and Wellington and needs only a first innings win to win the Shell Trophy for the first time since 1977. Otago slumped in the last game when it was convincingly beaten by Northern Districts. Otago’s batting has been consistent throughout the Shell series and this has come through the reliable opening partnerships of Ken Rutherford and Stu McCullum.
