First innings lead

NZPA-Reuter Kingstown, St Vincent England claimed a 19run first innings lead after Phil Edmonds and Peter Willey contrived to spin out Windward Islands for 168 on the second day of the opening four-day cricket match at Kingstown yesterday. The left-arm spinner, Edmonds, mesmerised the home team on a slow

wicket, grabbing four wickets while Willey was equally tight, varying his pace and flight, to take two. The Windward Islands were made to fight for their runs after bowling out the touring side for 187 on Sunday and having 45 minutes cut from yesterday play because of rain, which left damp spots on the alternate wicket.
