Deliveries of milk late
A breakdown at the metropolitan milk treatment plant at Russley yesterday morning caused late milk deliveries to some Christchurch homes last evening.
Residents in north-west Christchurch from Hornby to Redwood had to wait an extra half-hour to two hours for milk, said the plant’s general manager, Mr Bryan Neave. Deliveries would be back to normal today. The plant supplies milk to about a fifth of Christchurch.
