Christian meetings
Sir, —S. Mannix and H. G. Oram, both proponents of the Christian viewpoint, have ably proved my point about Christians not looking happy. They both take themselves so seriously, spouting . Biblical : quotations and catch-phrases that they seem to, forget that Christianity is just another religion and Jesus was, just another prophet, as was.Buddha, Zoroaster, Muhammad-, and Marx. If we could forget the religious hair-splitting and petty point-scoring, <(e.g. the A.I.D.S. debate and the homosexual law, reform issue) - and learned to laugh more and care for each other as people, then humankind would soar to undreamed of heights. As Carl Sagan has said “... if the context is large enough all humans have something in common.” — Yours, etc., M. DAVEY. January 23, 1986.
