Two drivers suspended
Bob Nyhan and Andrew Neal had their horsemen’s licences suspended until after February 3 for separate incidents at the Amberley Trotting Club's on-course meeting on Saturday. Nyhan, the driver of Ali in LiS? guilty of causing interfemce Game Salute, with 120 m to in toe Peter Cocks UdPrce in with 130 m to run on Timely Rule, which broke and lost all chance. The connections of Em-
bark, which broke while racing to the lead three wide with 650 m to run and veered inwards checking Hemihana, Jetline and Saryan, which broke losing all chance, were told to improve the racing manners of their horse. Keith Powell, the trainerdriver ° f tte favourite, 9brk in th® Transnort Canterbury quesao ' ned about this horse’s performance after leadin B to toe 400 - Restated the horse was not suite# by front running tactics and the track conditions. His explanation was accepted.
