H inland revenue CHRISTCHURCH SOLICITOR THE WAIKATO Regional Office of the Inland Revenue Department has a vacancy for a Solicitor. The appointee will be part of a team of solicitors providing advice to the Regional Controller and District Offices on the Interpretation of all tax legislation administered by the Inland Revenue Department including Income Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Land Tax and Estatet and Gift Duties, and advice on any other legal matters which may arise. This will involve opinion work, oral advice, meetings with taxpayers and their agents, and occasional travel within the region. In addition the appointee will assist with the training of staff on legal topics within the region. Previous tax, company and commercial experience is desirable, though not essential. The office is situated in Hamilton and excellent working conditions are provided together with a competitive salary.
