Hnew ~ ZEALAND DAIRY BOARD SHIFT SUPERVISOR: DAIRY INDUSTRY NEW ZEALAND CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY LIMITED, KEREPEHI Kerepehi enjoys a rural environment north of the Thames Valley town of Paeroa on State Highway 2. Its location allows close access to the Coromandel Peninsula, as well as to the major centres of Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga. The shift supervisor reports to the milk powder factory assistant manager and is responsible for supervision of the milk powder plant on a rotating shift basis. Duties include: — Organising and supervising staff to ensure quick and efficient conduct of work on each shift. — Ensuring all factory quality assurance systems are operating and recorded as designed. — Ensuring the continuous mechanical operation of the plant is maintained and that routine maintenance is carried out. — Assisting in staff training in particular co-ordinating on-the-job training. — Enforcing hygiene standards to requirements. The successful applicent will hold or be studying towards the diploma in Dairy Technology to a relevant tertiary qualification and be eligible to hold dairy factory manager’s registretion. Experience of production supervision, process control, quality assurance and modern management techniques is required.
