Gas shows
PA Wellington The Card Creek-1 well near Greymouth was at a depth of 853 m at 6 a.m. yesterday, Petrocorp said. Drilling is continuing. During the week the well encountered a gas kick while pulling out of the hole from 734 m and this resulted in bleeding off and flaring for about five hours. Further gas shows have been encountered as drilling has proceeded, the most recent being at 799 m.
