Strong south entry for Parliamentary
The South Island will be without a runner in the Whyte Handicap at Trentham next week, but there is a strong southern entry for the Parliamentary Handicap on the second day of the Wellington winter meeting. South Island-trained entrants for the $12,000 Parliamentary (2200 m are Afore Ye, Damazam, Good Way, Myra May, Newmarket, Paddy Speed, Third Degree,
and Worldly Mist. Entries for the $40,000 Wellington Steeplechase are: Ashford, Aurlada, Bally Trail, Battle Plate, Chief Ore, Civil Rights, Dazzling Light, Foaming Henri, Grey Warbler, Lady Edwina, Lord Hymac, Nevada Chief, Orca, Purcil, Region, Royal Bank, Royal Kassel, Sovereign Step, Sparkling Bew, Sugarmugundi, Syndream, Tantamount, Tarawera, Treghan.
