Cassidy on sideline

PA Hastings Jim Cassidy, who is second behind David Peake in the jockeys’ premiership, will miss another race day tomorrow, Cassidy, who has 107 winners for the season compared with Peake’s 110, has decided against riding at Rotorua tomorrow. He has wrenched neck muscles after a fall from a horse last Saturday. His injuries prevented him from riding at yesterday’s Auckland meeting but he had hoped to be fit to resume tomorrow. He was advised by a physiotherapist yesterday to miss tomorrow’s meeting but said he would be fit to resume on Saturday.
