Woman raped in her home
The police are looking for a man who overpowered and raped a middle-aged woman in the bedroom of her Harrison Street. St Albans, home early yesterday morning. The woman, aged 48, was not injured in the attack, which occurred between 12.30 a.m. and 1 a.m. She was alone in the house at the time.
Detectives believe the offender entered the house through an open window.
They would like to hear from anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously . in the Harrison Street-Aylesford Street area between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 1.30 a.m. yesterday. The offender is described
as aged between 25 and 35, of strong build, about 173 cm (sft Sin) in height, of olive to dark complexion, with black hair to just below the ears.
A Mirimar woman was raped at a lonely Wellington Bay after she was abducted about 3 a.m. yesterday by two men when she was putting out milk bottles at the gate of her Miramar home, according to the Press Association.
The men took her in a stolen car to Princess Bay where one of the men raped her, the police said. They then walked her to nearby Lyall Bay where they stole another car and took her home.
Detectives are looking for two men. aged about 20.
