Rain-interrupted service
Sir. — Arthur May’s comment (Anril 20) that “the concept of a supreme intelligence capable of creating this limitless universe, choosing this speck of dust called Earth as the venue for the barbaric and futile murder of His only son is totally illogical” only helps to prove Christianity. In his first let-
ter to the Corinthians Ch. 1, v. 21) Paul says that God in His wisdom saw to it that man would not find God through human brilliance, and then He stepped in and saved all those who believed his message, which the world calls foolish. Paul carries on in v 26 to say that it is foolish to the Gentiles because they believe only what agrees with their philosophy, and what seems wise to them. (Living Bible) My thanks to Arthur May for showing this to be true. —Yours, etc., BRYAN LACEY. April 20, 1979.
