Rain-interrupted service

Sir, — In reference to Arthur May’s letter (April 20), I would like to point out that St Paul also hated Jesus until he met Him, face to face, on the road to Damascus. The resurrected Jesus spoke to Paul with love and compassion and through that love, Paul was converted. Furthermore, this “speck of dust we call Earth” is so greatly loved by God that he sent Jesus to die for our sin, and through that death came the power of resurrection. Total victory over death, but only through the love of God. The correspondent’s logic obviously does not involve love, for love is giving

and God gave His son. — Yours, etc., G. I. MULES. April 20, 1979.
