Sir Tom Skinner

‘ Sir, — The article on Sir Tom Skinner in today’s edition makes interesting reading although I feel that there are two glaring omissions. First, it fails to state the circumstances of his appointment to the board of the New Zealand Shipping Corporation in the “jobs for the boys” category. Second, although it is critical of the wages paid to the Prime Minister and others, we are still not- enlightened as to the income from Sir Tom’s several appointments and we are therefore not able to assess whether in fact he is being under or overpaid for his services. — Yours, etc., N. R. DIXON. April 19, 1979.
