Spillane Cup rugby

PA Rotorua The New Zealand Maori first five-eighth, Tu Wylie, starred in a Marist-St Pats Wellington side which won the Spillane Cup at the Easter North Island Marist rugby tournament, played at Rotorua over the week-end. In the final, St Pats defeated Hamilton Marist, 23-13. Wylie dictated play -behind the dominant pack which included several Wellington representatives. The full-back Murray Tocker, was the top St Pats scorer in the final with 19 points. He scored one try and kicked five penalties.
