Take the stress out of living
Excessive stress is sometimes unavoidable but can often be prevented by taking positive steps to look after your own health needs and by learning better ways of handling the normal of daily living. The following points
may help you;-— :: Be realistic about how much you can cope with at any one time and sort out which things can wait or aren’t really important. :: Don’t bottle things up. When a problem starts to get you down discuss it with someone whose judgment you trust. :: Learn to relax. There are plenty of useful books on relaxation in libraries and shops as well as classes in many centres. :: Make time to do some things you really enjoy and to develop new skills. This will give you more confidence and energy to cope with unavoidable pressures. :: Take a break. When you feel you are going round in circles with some problem, stop and do something else for a while. Even a change of routine can help. :: Remember the value of exercise. As well as helping you to keep fit it is a good way to work off your tensions.
