Overweight?
Obesity is basically due to the intake of energy being greater than the output. Obese children are likely to become obese adults unless their eating/ exercise patterns are changed. At some stage the obese person eats more than he needs. After this, weight can be stationary even if food intake is less than that of a thinner person. The answer lies in a reorganised diet and a regular programme of exercise such as running, climbing, biking, dancing, swimming or organised sport. How often you eat during the day can be influential too. Weight can be reduced by dividing tne day’s intake into several meals. which are
thoroughly chewed, (The obese person often eats more food more rapidly, and continues the intake while his thinner slowereating companion takes far Jess in the same time). Fad diets too are often ineffective and not scientifically based. They are quite likely to omit, some essential nutrient such as iron, which can be injurious to health.
