Egypt-Israel treaty
Sir, — The most significant factor in the signing of the Egypt-Israel peace treaty is that two peoples who have known only animosity and hatred since the times of Moses have now been brought together. President Sadat and Prime Minister Menachem Begin are two men whose lives have been strengthened by adversity. Peace treaties will always be broken by "East and West”. But a picture of two brothers genuinely seeking peace is of more “eternal” significance. It is obvious those who support an anti-semitic Soviet Union will object. Their material aspirations are being thwarted by the courage of two men. — Yours etc.,
B. P. LIDDELL. April 5, 1979.
