Study agreement soon
PA Wellington Agreement on the terms of reference for a Government study of the motor industry is imminent. The president of the Motor-Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association (Mr D. McDonald) said that the industry was close to an I agreement with the Trade and Industry Department. Most of the industry study would be done by departmental officers. “It won’t be a public inquiry type of study,” Mr McDonald said. The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) said this week that no more time should be lost i in agreeing on terms of refierence for an industry study.
