GV.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Flagpole climbing for souvenirs is out for the New Zealand Empire Games team in Jamaica, said Mr N. Robinson, one of the three team selectors, at a team-briefing yesterday morning. The team was instructed to exercise the utmost caution in collecting souvenirs of the games trip. “The eyes of New Zealand and the world are going to be on us all,” said Mr Robinson. A ban was put on statements to and interviews with the press. “At all press interviews, both in New Zealand and overseas, the assistant-manager, Mr A. Taylor, and the sectienal team manager concerned, must be present at all times,” said Mr Robinson.
