FOUR TESTS LIKELY
••Th* Pre«t“ Special Service AUCKLAND. The Australian second cricket team is likely to play four tests and three other first*class matches, including one against Auckland, during the tour of New Zealand next February and March.
Mr J. G. Leggat, chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council, said that the itinerary was still to be approved, but the present plans were for four tests as well as firstclass and second-class matches. A proposed itinerary had been sent to all New Zealand board members. This would be discussed further at the
August meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council and the complete itinerary would then be submitted to the September meeting of the Ausralian board of control. New Zealand had already received approval on the broad principles of the tour itinerary.

Then will follow a three-day match against Auck. land before the Australians move south. It seems most likely that the Australians will finish the tour with the fourth test against New Zealand at Auckland. The tour of New Zealand will take place at the same time as the full Australian team is playing in South Africa.
