Four Hurt On Roads
Miss Valerie Thomas, of 285 Hills road, suffered fairly serious injuries and shock in a collision between her bicycle and a car at the corner of Warrington street and Hills road about 8.30 a.m. yesterday. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where her condition was reported to be satisfactory. Mrs Shirley Abley, of Springston, suffered minor head injuries in a collision between two cars at the corner of Matipo street and Blenheim road about 12.10 p.m. One of the cars was extensively damaged. Miss Sylvia Lewandowski, of 33 Neville street, suffered arm and leg injuries When the motor-scooter she was riding and a truck collided near the corner of Halls and Wrights roads about 9.40 a.m. She was admiteed to the Christchurch Hospital, where her condition was reported to be satisfactory. Ross Miller, of 7 Ebony street, suffered minor head injuries in a collision between a power-cycle and a car at the corner of Hereford street and Oxford terrace about 9 p.m.
