Four Hurt On Roads

When his motor-cycle was involved in a collision with a car outside 283 Centaurus road about 5.10 p.m. yesterday, George Mervyn Whale, of 12 London street, Lyttelton, suffered head injuries. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital where his condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory. Roy Clarke, of Burnham Military Camp, suffered serious head injuries when a car rolled over on the Main South road about 2.45 a.m. yesterday. His condition at Princess Margaret Hospital last evening was reported to be satisfactory. Mr W. A. Clark, of 35 Fairfield avenue, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for arm injuries he suffered in a collision between two cars at the corner of Fairfield avenue and Selwyn street at 7.15 a.m. yesterday. A 13-year-old boy, Donald Pullan, of 38 Wayside avenue, suffered head lacerations when he fell off a milk vendor’s truck in Todd avenue about 4.30 p.m. yesterday.
