Sir, —As an addition to the notes on Milhaud’s “La Mere Coupable” in this morning’s arts page, may I say that Phyllis Curtin, who created the part of Countess Almaviva in the opera, became the first singer to have sung all of Beaumarchais’s Rosinas.— Yours, etc., B. CRAXTON. July 12, 1966.
