(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Mid-Canterbury beat South Canterbury, 34-33, in the final of the South Island B grade women’s indoor basketball championship on Saturday. Mid-Canterbury scored a total of 153 points during the tournament, an average of about 50 a game. Other results were: Mid-Canterbury 51, South Westland 11; Eastern Otago 27, Nelson 25; South Canterbury 36, Eastern Southland 14; Otago 30, Canterbury 16; Eastern Otago 35, South Westland 31; Mid-Can-terbury 47, Nelson 39; South Canterbury 48, Canterbury 18; Otago 49, Eastern Southland 16.
