BURUNDI QUIET
Take-Over By Prince (N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) BUKAVU (Congo), July 10. Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, was reported quiet yesterday after a take-over of the Government by 19-year-old Prince Charles Ndimeye from his father, King Mwambutsa IV. There was no official word on the attitude of the king, who is in Europe. Unofficial sources said that he had approved his son's action because of his ill-health and his desire to stay in Europe. But in Geneva, where the king has an apartment, an adviser told reporters that the king “was very surprised when he heard the news” of his son's action. Prince Charles dismissed the Government of Prime Minister Leopold Biha and suspended the constitution on Friday and announced that be would rule by decree until a new Government had been formed.
